HR CAFÉ

THE PLATFORM FOR HR PROFESSIONALS TO SHARE KNOWLEDGE, GET INSPIRATION AND BUILD A NETWORK.

WHY I STARTED AN HR CAFÉ

As an International HR Professional, I have often found that many of my colleagues are working on the same types of cases and that each one is trying to re-invent the wheel. And that while all of us together have a lot of knowledge that we could share. We rarely come out of our 'ivory towers'. Networking is not really an option, because we don't have the time... We think we have to do it all by ourselves. I now know - after many years in the business - that it can be done differently with much more results.

That is why I started the HR Café in Suriname. Here HR professionals come together to meet each other, to exchange ideas, to share knowledge. All in a casual yet professional atmosphere. And, because the best ideas originate at the café, everyone goes home with a lot of inspiration.

HOW DOES HR CAFÉ TAKE PLACE?

I opted for a dynamic process in which everyone decides which path to follow. So what you get out of such an evening depends entirely on yourself.

All participants arrive around 8 a.m. Then there is a half-hour to get to know each other and network.

At 08.30 we get down to business. This can be based on a number of propositions or an external speaker linked to HR Point. As a matter of course, after a certain time the brainstorming turns back into networking and further talking about what keeps HR busy.

At 11 a.m. we close.

WHO – WHERE – WHEN

I organize an HR Café on a very regular basis. Each time, we limit ourselves to a maximum of 50 participants. Moreover, the participation fee is limited to a fee for drinks and refreshments.

Above all, keep a close eye on this website and the Newsletters. That way you can register in time for the next session!!!
